Things aren't looking sooo great for the US move, so I am ramping up my shop day-dreaming plans.
LOVE the vibe of this shop in the Netherlands.

More shop inspiration

Oh yeah. The white open shelves filled with stock, the old school scales, little cakes and flower arrangements. These are from Brooke Farm General Store and Bakeri in Williamsburg, via Sunday Suppers, my favourite food porn blog.

Ooooo, I so can't wait to go full time scoping pwetty shops when we get to the states (well, fingers and toes crossed we get there!) I'd hate to be so busy scoping shops that I didn't have time to look for a job. Ahahahhahahahaha.

Inspiration for my shop

At the moment it will have deli items, a select range of homewares (mainly foodie related) and books (foodie and home), and gift wrap and ribbons. And flowers like THIS outside!

It may sound like an emporium of well, everything, but I envision it as like a 'pimp my dairy'; where you pop in for foodie/gift things and can also stop and have a cuppa java and cake as well while you pore over a book and be surrounded by beautiful things.

Cool shop

This shop has a rockin' range of storage/organise-y stuff, including these magnets. Understanding Swedish beyond 'Valkommen' and 'Tack' would be useful. But reading is overrated with such good piccies.
