PROJECT: Shoe storage

I have been an awol blogger lately because I have been busy being besotted with the new little man in my life. I fear I may never have time to do a crafty project again, but here I go lining another one up.
Shoes organised with styley photos on the boxes, and a cheerful fluro pink shelf would be a lot nicer to be confronted with than the jumble of piled up shoes I have falling out at me when I open my shoe cupboard.
Mmmm...the sweet joy of organised storage.

Fluffing about the house

I'm fluffing about the apartment today sorting everything out after our move earlier this week. More or less like a pig in shit; I'm making all sorts of important decisions like where to put up our photos, where to store my sewing stuff (so it's accesible and looks pretty), what's a nice container to put our toothbrushes in, how should I arrange all my kitchen nic nacs, etc etc.

I found this photo and I really like the way they've organised all their books; stylishly horizontal, rather than in a vertical bookcase. However, I don't think I'll inflict this on Carl - given my reputation already for anally storing books in colour-order, the poor guy wouldn't stand a chance at putting the books back "properly" so it retains the 'artful' rather than 'dumped' look.

From the storage nerd files...this neat line up of San Pellegrino water bottles and other pantry items makes me so happy. The kitchen colours are pretty cool too.

Holy feck, now that's a pantry

Have been really busy lately; getting our life and businesses all packed up before we make the big move to the US of A. But I did squeeze in some time for a bit of pantry pervin'.
This pantry amazing. And coincidentally, it looks like about the size of the 'studio' we will be living in in 7 weeks time. Argh.

Label love

I'm such a sucker for labels (as Carl will attest to.) Although I maintain that as well as looking good, it does make it easier for him to conform to all my random systems that he doesn't seem to find "man-friendly".

These ones for jam/pickles/etc are great! Although at NZ$5 each, I could buy a pretty fancy-pants jam and save myself the whole bother.
